Facilities

Originally built as two separate cottages, Springfield has been extended over the years to provide its current spacious layout. During 2005 extensive refurbishment works were carried out to provide all bedrooms with ensuite bathroom/shower-room facilities.

We have 3 letting rooms - two which can be either set up as twins or king size doubles and one standard double. All rooms are on the first floor.

Location/How to get there

Dumfries and Galloway
Colvend is an attractive village some 6 miles south of Dalbeattie and 20 miles from the historic town of Dumfries. Springfield is located on the main coast road (A710) just under 1/2 mile east of Colvend village (towards Dumfries).

There is an extensive choice of activities available in the immediate area.
Golf - Colvend parkland golf course (18 holes) is within 1/2 mile. Southerness championship standard links course is around 5 miles away while Solway Links (18), Craigieknowe (9) and Dalbeattie (9) are all within 6 miles. A further 20 courses are located within an hours drive away.

Dumfries and Galloway is the perfect location whetever your interest whether it be culture, the arts, crafts, literature, history, outdoor activities, beachcombing or simply relaxing. There are many excellent restaurants and pubs serving local produce and 'real' ales brewed in the area.
